I am getting miffed with this Soyala

Post by dieselgal » Tue Jun 03, 2008 1:10 pm

I have gotten to where I like the mask itself but it does have a really bad habit. If I move wrong in the night that hose pops loose from the mask!
One night it happened twice and it even woke the hubby up.
Has anyone else had this problem with the Soyala nasal?

getting miffed with the Soyala

I don't know if the Soyala has a little very short part to connect to the hose or not. If it does, I MAY have a solution.

I bought the "inlet tube with swivel assembly" -part #60926 $9.95 at cpap.com. I bought 2 of them in fact. They are a replacement part for the Mirage Liberty Full Face mask.

I use this inlet tube on any of my masks that have a short part to connect to the hose. So far, it fits about 3 other masks and works great for the problem you are having. Without it, the hose can just pop off, as you described.

I don't know if it would work with the Soyala, since I don't have one but I expect it might be worth a try.

That might work. I am hoping the Snoredog comes on and reads this. He has this mask and maybe he has tips too!

Soyala

Hello Diesalgal.

I also use a Soyala. I really like this mask but after several months I had the same problem. I used some packing tape to just tape the hose onto the Soyala. I can still take the cushion off to wash it and it does not affect my use of it. Now the hose does not pop off.

Wish you luck on this.

Karen
