Flexfit 405 Mask

Post by Yoga » Mon Jun 06, 2005 10:23 pm

Ahujudybear,

Unfortunately I was not able to reply previously due to a problem with my password.

Regarding the Flexfit 405 exhaust, the material put under the diffuser cap should be changed when it gets DARK SPOTS on it. I believe mine got dirty in about a month but I use the Flexfit about half the night and the Swift mask for another part of my sleep cycle so if you use your flexfit for about 8 hours, you might have to change it in 15 days. The fibrous material does not hold up very long anyway.

Material?? Diffuser cap?? <LOL>

Sorry. I don't know what a "diffuser cap" is.

Mine has a soft (very soft!) gray rubber cushion which I remove before washing the seal and the two forehead cushions (and the whole plenium). You had suggested replacing the cushion with some material??

Ahujudybear

Just a couple of inches from where the hose attaches to the mask there is an elbow or curved piece. Right on the curve there is a little cap which comes off and it has a small piece of white fibrous material under it. F&P in their literature call the fibrous material a diffuser and the clear plastic cap that is over it a diffuser cap.

Nope. Mine is just clear hard plastic. No fibers, no cap, no material. Just the air vent holes (lots of them!)

Is this supposed to fit across the inside of the hose? or cover the vent holes?

Mine only has the parts that I mentioned above. Sorry.
