Just completed a trip Thur. and did not see any mention of new regs. @ the TSA check point. Something new/different did happen. I placed the CPAP on a clean plastic bag in the bin. None of the TSA Agents touched the CPAP machine with their hands. It was carried in the bin to the machine and swapped at the sniffer machine or swapped while still on the conveyor and the bore cleaning patch was take to the sniffer. Never had that happen before, someone was always taking it out of the bin then to the sniffer.
I will ask about new regs. next week.
Blessings,
Fred

It's a good thing I don't only depend on my reasoning! I'd be stuck without my machine if they lost my luggage! Thanks for the reminder!
I took a bit to think about this and decided that it would also not be good for my machine to be in the checked baggage as even inside a suitcase it would be subjected to rough handling that may not be good for the reader or other electronics.

While I understand how burdensome US regs can be (especially California State regs on top of US), after living abroad for years I can say I missed the protection of many of those same regs : 0billbolton wrote:xyz wrote:So every SA patient everywhere in the world who boards any flight to anywhere....
The discussion is about US regulations and US officialdom. Fortunately other places in the world are not saddled with either of those things .
