I use a straight CPAP Resmed lightweight and have no problems, pressure setting 14 and use Activa mask mostly. I have had no probelms adjusting at all, been on almost three months. I read here so much people needing
auto pap and others, am I the only one liking straight cpap? They did not give me a choice but from the start I have not had any problems after getting the mask right. My DME took what the insurance gave and charged me nothing while most wanted $400.00 or a 20-80 split. Gave me two masks, the Activa after trying several and a nasal-aire.

hi rock and roll,
Straight cpap is fine for most people. It would be perfectly all right for me. I'd be fine with a straight cpap set at 11. I just happen to want a machine that can use software to tell me what "events" (apneas, hypopneas, snores, etc.) that I had during the night. I simply want to see the data for myself. Can't get that from a straight cpap machine. Actually, if I wanted to run my autopap machine at one straight pressure (a la cpap) I could do that and still get the data. So, I'll always stick with autopap, even though a straight cpap machine would give me good treatment too.
