Encore Pro and PC Standby

Post by McSam » Fri May 27, 2005 12:52 pm

I recently installed the Respironics Encore Pro software on my Win-XP system, and now my PC wakes up a few seconds after going into Standby. I'm suspecting that it may have something to do with the Sql Server settings, but I'm not sure how to go about dealing with it.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Mine wakes up if I take the card out while in stand-by, and sometimes (only sometimes ) when I insert it.

I wouldn't suspect the SQL Server, particularly if Encore Pro is not active. Rather I suspect the USB interface is generating the interupt, maybe through the SmartCard reader driver. Have you checked youre BIOS to see if there is any settings that may affect the restart?

McSam, whatever is the reason of your problem with the PC, I think it might be good to stop MS SQL when it is not used, because it is using the resources of the PC, not negligible.
