The time they last is dependent on how much you use. (how's that for a definitive answer???? )
I've gone through a few bottles of peace and spice, but use some of the others more slowly. Again, I have to use at least 5 drops per night, so those that use 1 or 2 will have theirs around longer.....
The best advice I could give would be to try the intro package with the 3 oils, diffuser and diffuser pads. If it doesn't work out for you you're under no obligation to order more.....That said, I've ordered the "big" quantities of my favorite 4 (they come in 3 5ml bottles which I like). I can't imagine being without my aroma therapy!!!!!
I do like the idea of the "Banana split"....interesting concept, but the strawberry and bubblegum have me "good for now".....
Good luck
cheers

I received my trial pack from Pur-sleep yesterday and tried the French Vanilla. I slept more thoroughly than I have in a long time. Usually I wake up at 2 or 3am or if I don't usually at 5am with a very stuffed nose and sneezing into my mask...yuck!!!!!
Yes I use my mirco hepa filters and changeout the larger filter once a week. Humidifies is also on and at a good level. One more level higher I get a rain forest!
I am hoping that aromatherapy will help with the waking and sneezing. In my pack was French Vanilla, Calm, and Strawberry.
I am going to try Calm on the Sunday night and weeknights because that is when I am most stressed and more apt to wake up not because of CPAP but because of work.
Loved French Vanilla very relaxing. Used three drops and was perfect...not to weak and not too strong.

Tried Strawberry last night. 3 drops. Nice scent...didn't seem to last as long as French Vanilla. So far love the French Vanilla. Strawberry was nice, but thinking I may use it when in a different mood...I am not sure yet. I will find a perfect pairing!!! Kind of like wine pairing right... right scent with the right mood

I received a trial pack as part of the MASK OFF trial...thanks again!
My first experience with the product, and it came with Calm (an essential oil) and two Air Candy scents, Strawberry and French Vanilla.
LONGEVITY:
My own experience has been that Calm lasts virtually all night; French Vanilla lasted only about a half hour; and Strawberry lasted about 3-4 hours.
SCENT:
French Vanilla is nice but barely detectable, a little too sweet for my tastes;
Strawberry is also very sweet (like a bubblegum flavor version, but oddly pleasing); Calm is a gentler vics vaporub scent (not sweet, neutral, and pleasant)--the least "chemical" and "artificial" of the scents.
MASK-OFF FACTOR:
French vanilla disappeared before I even fell asleep no matter how many drops used on the pad.
Both Strawberry and Calm were pleasant to wake up to when I was conscious of an arousal, though Strawberry ran out faster and I did end up taking mask off in sleep (though later than usual) with this scent.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
Strawberry was pleasant and relaxing through the mask, but left an unpleasant chemical odor in the room the morning after.

WOW Guest!
Not my experience with French Vanilla at all. I used three drops and it lasted all night and still noticeable in the morning.
In fact when I used the Strawberry next evening, I could smell the French Vanilla smell in the mask/hose before the auto start kicked in and the strawberry scent came through.
Agreed with the Strawberry in that it smelled a bit artificial to me, but I didn't quite notice a chemical smell in the room. Maybe the artificial smell I did notice is what you are saying is chemical smell?
Calm, I really didn't like 3 drops - kind of harsh, petroleum distillate smell to me. Didn't relax me at all. I usually like eucalyptus like Vicks on my chest. I am going to try Clear. Sounds more in my liking.

It's surprising to me how different peoples' tastes in smells are.
Personally, I don't care for the French Vanilla. It's weak and I just don't like it. But during the trials enough people raved about it that it ended up being one of the top two, along with strawberry.
Note that all of the AirCandy fragrances (white cap) are artificial. There is no such thing as strawberry essential oil. Natural strawberry smell doesnt' exist anywhere at any cost.
All ten of the PurSleep products (black cap) are 100% pure, undiluted essential oil, also known as natural aromatic. It's the smelly part of plants that is removed through distillation. So the Calm is all natural essential oil. When I use it I feel like an intoxicated koala bear...
Clear is still my all-time favorite. It's penetrating like Calm (the menthol is nice) but has more of a sweet edge to it (that's the lime and lavender). But I like them all (for the most part).
Thanks for the feedback!

So I tried French Vanilla again...and it still faded by about an hour into the evening for me!
I think Calm is definitely my favorite among the trial pack (even though I did have a good experience with Strawberry)...and likely for the reason you mentioned, that it is 100% natural and doesn't have that artificial "what is this and where did it come from?" edge that the Air Candy samples have, as nice as they smell. (I think they would be a hit for the pediatric market you mentioned for them in another post, though.) I love your "intoxicated koala bear" comment!! My own ideal scent, if I was crafting one, would be something heavy on lavender, which is well-known for its sleep inducing properties AND has almost a pavlovian response on me at this point, since it's in my bath salts and before-bed body lotion.

The sense of smell is pretty strange. Different scents act differently. You get used to smells that are constant. sometimes smells really jump out at you. Once I got up from a nap using one of the original scents and went out to check the mail. I couldn't smell the pur-sleep when I got up, but when I came back inside it was there again. What I REALLY smelled was the place where the neighbor's dog had left a deposit.
I've got all the scents and enjoy a different one in the rotation every night.

Got the 2 air candy and calm samples recently. Thanks Sleep Guy! Agree that the Strawberry and French Vanilla are short acting while Calm is long acting(could even smell it in mask 24hours later.
Strawberry and French Vanilla work the best when trying to deal with stale air
found in hotel rooms and when I cannot open the windows at home due to the weather. It appears that the air candy line could be used as an alternative to room air fresheners which I only use occasionally. The Calm scent I will save to try when having cold symptoms because it seems like it should work well.
I use the pur-sleep every other day and rotate the scents. Decided several small sizes of scents not yet tried plus large size of Spice and Peace when I run out and to give away the ones I dont like because know they might work for someone else.

Sleep Guy is right -- the differences in our fragrance detection is amazing. I have to admit that my favorites are Spice, Clear, Peace, and Fresh -- all in the essential oil line. I also use Flonase for allergies, so my sense of smell has been compromised which requires me to use more of the product than some.
During the Nose Candy trial I did try numerous fragrances and only chose 2 -- Strawberry and BananaBerry (? -- Bubble Gum). The Calm was too much like Vicks for me and I didn't like the French Vanilla, though I realllllly like French Vanilla coffee and "French Vanilla" other things.....
For me the Strawberry seems to last for days on the pad -- which I really like and it also provides the essence in the bedroom for a day or two as well -- which is ok by me -- I'm a strawberry incense freak!! (Strawberry Alarm Clock anyone??)
Sleep Guy definitly has a winner of a product line, and his support on this board is greatly appreciated and duly noted by many of us!!!! His numerous trials, provides cpaptalk members with an enhancement to their (our) therapy that may not be otherwise tried or available. It's also indicative of his generosity and belief in his product.
Vive la pur-sleep!!!!!!!
cheers
