yorkiemum01,
I understand what you mean, I didn't realize I had such a bad case of sleep apnea all these years. I was having pre-op procedures done for my lap band surgery and I guess my blood oxygen level was low so that's when my whole thing started. I sleep really well now and feel such much better during the day and don't have the headaches etc... that I had before or have to take a nap. My husband should probably be checked also with his snoring but unless someone makes him he probably won't. But I'm glad your son is doing better, I worry less about my daughter and it's nice to know I'm not alone, it's a hard thing to explain to people but I guess shows like Oprah are making more people comfortable discussing it with others so that's "a good thing", brandyII.

brandyII..you'll need to keep us updated on your progress with lapband. This is an exciting time in your life, regaining control of your weight and health. I know of 2 close friends, one male, who had lapband, and one female, who had gastric bypass, and both I'm happy to report are doing incredibly well. Hope youre results are as good. Thanks the correspondence, and hope to hear more good news from you in the future. Be well, and God Bless!

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God. And remember - the richest person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least.
I don't usually watch Oprah but I did see that one today. I had a lot of night terrors, waking and seeing the dream out into the room, and sleep walking when I was a kid. I even hurt myself once, I woke up and was smashing my head on the wall. AFAIK, it gradually got less and less as I got older, but I do still sleep walk and have the occassional night terror. I had a sleep walking incident about a month ago, that I have any memory of anyway. Watching that show made me wonder how many other incidents I'm having without knowing it.
