American in China and UK with CPAP usage questions

Post by rock and roll » Fri May 20, 2005 4:40 pm

OK Guys, a real test for the experts

I have to go to China. Yes the wonderful communist China on business. By chance has anyone on this forum ever been to China and if so are our machines going to work there? does anyone know what current or what type of plug?

I also have to go to UK in July, this I look forward to as it's more holiday than business. Will the US machines work there? What type of plug?

I have traveled all over preCPAP, but never had to worry before. Now I feel like an amatuer.

Any help appreciated

What cpap do you have. If it is of recent vintage it will work fine. Just go to walmart and purchase a plug adaptor kit. A bag of about 6 plugs costs $10. Dont forget an Extension cord, 15 feet should be fine. Also a 3 way splitter if you have a seperate plug for your humidifier.

Look it up here. http://kropla.com/electric.htm

Some more info.

China: http://kropla.com/china_power.htm

UK : http://kropla.com/!g.htm

The cpap will work fine. Just plug it in. Unless its old style with a voltage selector switch. Then set it for 220 V

I've never had any problems. Enjoy your trip.

Cheers,

Chris
