Need Help with the Comfort Curve...

Well my DME didn't listen to me when I told themI wanted to STOP IN AND TRY OUT THE COMFORT CURVE when they got them in and surprise, surprise...guess what I received in the mail today!!! That's right, a Comfort Curve. Sure hope my Insurance pays for it. I'm allowed 2 a year (hope that doens;t mean 1 every 6 months).

Anyway on to the questions:

I tried all 3 nose peices and find that the Medium seems to FEEL like it seals the best. However, my ResMed Auto Set Spirit has a mask leak feature that tests the mask at my highest pressure setting and I get a "Good" during inhalation and an "Adjust Mask" during exhalation. Does this matter? For those of you not familiar it rates from 1 to 5 stars. Good is 3 stars.

Now with my Resp Comfort Gel I get 4 stars and with my Swift NP I get 3 to 4 stars.

Another question:

The spirit also has settings for different RESMED masks. I assume the exhalation and sealing properties are programmed into the machine so I really does know what is going on. I used the Mirage setting for my Comfort Gel and my Swift. Do I need to set this to something different?

I realize that alot of the machines don't have these features so maybe they settings and mask leak results are a moot point??? It feels sealed should I just try it for a sleep and see what my AHI and Mask Leak reading really is and compare it to how I feel?

What is everyone else doing? Changing to a different head gear? I don't really like the feel of this headgear...seems kinda chincy to me....

And others have talked about some tweaking....what recommendations do you have?
