Are people using Encore pro data to set their own pressures?

I would STRONGLY advise NOT taking a UMFF apart. I've seen far too many posts from people who couldn't get them back together correctly and they leaked worse than before......especially in the elbow area.
It doesn't need to be disassembled to be cleaned.

The ONLY time I do any disassembly of my UMFF is when I replace the cushion. AND, even doing that is a bit tricky, always takes a few minutes to get the new cushion seated properly with the plastic locking piece that snaps over it to secure it.

I'm still using the same cushion on my 3-year old UMFF. I've only had the seal off a couple of times......once was by accident when the retainer ring happened to pop off and the other was deliberately (a few days later).....to clean the cushion and re-seat it a bit better.
Other than that, I've NEVER taken any of mine apart.

Just some comments....Even though I've been using CPAP for over a year, I still was enlightened to read this thread and how important the leak rate is in controlling every result. Looking over my last 8 months of datum using straight CPAP at 10cm, my results varied considerably ...all related to the when large leaks that sometimes took place. Comparing the charts shows a definite correlation between the leaks and the AHI. For the last 8 months I have an AHI of 4.4. Nothing great, but it's very clear that the numbers could improve considerably if I concentrated on reducing the leaks I'm using a Swift, and it's comfortable but is subject to leaks,,,inconsistently , at least for me. I'm also intrigued by theory of setting the low cm. at what would be the straight CPAP setting. I'll certainly need to try that.....
I'm getting a Mirage FF mask soon so I'll see what affect it will have on my numbers. I'm also experimenting with taping, but have a mustache and really don't want to shave it off...however, for purposes of good therapy., I may have to (sob)!

So on with the experiments, lab rat tests,etc.

I have the same strong correlation, Doovid. And for me, lower pressure also lowered my leak rate and therefore AHI. I am still tweaking, however.

Tape was no good for me due to mustache as well, but "Super Poligrip Comfort Seal Strips" goes right on the lips and worked fine.
