Hi China, welcome to the forum.

If you need just a straight CPAP w/expiration pressure relief I would recommend the Resmed S8 Elite w/EPR and the Humidaire 3i integrated heated humidifier if you travel by air a lot. If you don't travel by air a lot then you might want to consider the Fisher & Paykel HC 150 stand alone heated humidifier as it has a greater capacity. I would also recommend that you purchase the computer software for this CPAP, the Resmed ResScan software and the proprietary cable reader needed to download the data to your computer. The data card should come w/the Elite.

If, on the other, you would prefer the additional option of an autoPAP, I would suggest the Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage with either of the two heated humidifiers I suggested above. This autoPAP would also use the ResScan software and cable reader and the data card should come w/the Vantage. Outside of North America this autoPAP would be called the Resmed S8 AutoSet Spirit. These autoPAPs do not offer expiration pressure relief in autoPAP mode but do provide it in straight CPAP mode.

Resmed has also just recently introduced the Resmed S8 II AutoSet Spirit but I am unfamiliar w/any improvements over the Resmed S8 AutoSet Spirit that would have been made since it is not yet available in the USA.

Or, the Respironics M Series Auto w/A-Flex with its M Series integrated heated humidifier IF you travel a lot. If you do NOT travel a lot most definitely w/this autoPAP I would recommend the Fisher & Paykel HC 150 stand alone heated humidifier. The M Series integrated heated humidifier is not a particularly well-designed integrated humidifier. If you want the software and cable reader for the M Series it would be the Respironics EncorePro software v. 1.8 or higher and proprietary cable reader. This autoPAP is the most versatile of autoPAPs.

Another very good autoPAP you might want to consider is the Puritan Bennett GoodKnight 420E (the E is the key word). I have no experience w/this particular autoPAP but everyone who has one loves them and speaks highly of them and I am sure that those who have them will respond to your post. The software for the 420E is called Silverlining.

All of these xPAPs would come w/their own carry case (w/room for the integrated humidifier - but not the F&P HC 150 stand alone heated humidifier), hose and User and Clinician's manuals.

The mask needed for CPAP therapy is something that none of us can really recommend due to not every mask fitting every person comfortably and able to seal well. The mask that fits best for me w/o leaks might be very uncomfortable or unable to seal well for you.

There are 4 styles of masks available: the full face style of mask such as the Resmed Mirage Quattro; the nasal cushion style mask such as the Respironics Simplicity; the nasal pillows, nasal prongs, nasal seal type masks such as the Respironics ComfortLite 2; and the "hybrid" style that are a combination of nasal pillows and mouth "piece". You might want to take a look at the pictures and information on the various masks and mask styles at:

https://www.cpap.com/simple-find-cpap-p ... /cpap-mask

You might want to take a look at the Resmed Micro as a mask to consider.

I cannot offer any advice regarding shipping, customs and tariffs.

You need to have a prescription from your doctor to buy a machine, though not for the mask or accessories.

Julie is correct. I did fail to remember to mention that a doctor's prescription is required to buy an xPAP in the USA, but a prescription is not needed for the other accessories.

Another product that might be an asset for you if you don't have the opportunity to first try on any mask you buy, and I don't know what its equivalent would be outside of the USA (and which is probably not available from any online CPAP supplier), is Mack's Silicone Ear Plugs. These are a very pliable form of silicone, very much like wax, in that they can be rolled in your hands to form a thin rope or tape shape which can then be laid on the mask cushion in any areas that leak or cut into the skin such as at the bridge of the nose. This works to seal between mask cushion and face or to protect the bridge of the nose from skin irritation.
