Could a massage table type bed be helpful?
Could a massage table type bed be helpful?
****please bear with me thru this long introduction****
A couple days a go I posted saying that i am new to cpap and have had some minor gas/bloating on some days which i thought were from the cpap.
At almost the same time, a different person posted with the same problem but with a much more severe version, saying that she also got gas, but that it was uncontrollable and seemingly unbearable.
As a response to this other persons post about severe gas, someone replied that they had a neighbor who was so sleep deprived from OSA that they were on disability but could not use a cpap at all, also becasue of a gas problem.
Thinking about what could be done for this person (or anyone with osa), the idea of sleeping on a massage table occurred to me. I am thinking of a bed type thing where you lay on your stomach and put your head face down in to a doughnut-shaped pillow where the hole leaves the center of your face, ie nose and mouth, exposed and facing straight down.
Would this prevent any sort of obstruction?
(by the way i am new to cpap and to this website but it really makes me feel good to know that all these helpful people are here. thank you.)

First you would need a strategically place drool bucket to mitigate the morning clean-up.
You might also need some heavy-duty humidification system to keep your mouth/throat from drying out ... if you have experienced dry mouth/throat, you will recall that as the tissue dries out it becomes inflamed and closes up your airway and your back at square one with a bucket of drool.
CPAP treatment is hard but you need to keep trying to make it work and spend less energy trying to figure out how to avoid it.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Hmmm
I thought he was thinking of using CPAP with the massage table for a bed with the mask down through the hole to avoid problems with the mask hitting the pillow etc. etc. etc.
Would probably work fine but I've never seen a dual massage table and I want Da Boss beside me at night. Sometimes I suspect she might need CPAP too.
Guess a custom made table would be possible

I think what he means is that if you were lying face down, your tongue wouldn't be falling back in your throat, thus not blocking your airway. I can't imagine that I could sleep that way, but, hey, who would have thought that I would have to learn to sleep with a mask on my face?
Anybody have a massage table that they could try it out on?

Falling asleep
Falling asleep on a massage table is easy when you are getting a nice massage ... except when it is the type of massage with a " happy ending "

I thought about the massage table and cant see why a normal mattress couldn't be custom designed and marketed right could be quite a lucrative business. well I'm off to patent it ha ha !!!
I found my gas went away when I switched to apap. I think one pressure can be too much if you don't need it causing excess airflow. just a wild guess

Just guessing you understand ... ummm ... I think they tell you to roll over and then begin working on the " happy ending ".
I certainly wouldn't know ... of course ... of course
