I just wanted to thank you for your review of the CC. I had my doubts on anything that had the words comfort. But after reading your review and your endorsement of this new mask, I knew you told it like it is. I thank you. Here are my thoughts on this mask
This is my new mask it has won me over. My swift will go for now in the desk drawer( it will probably see use in the winter mos.) i think the comfort curve will cause problems in the winter months for me (rainout)but for now it is the best feeling mask I have ever tried. My wife also agrees. The comfortcurve for me and my wife is perfect for side sleeping. When we were using the Swift Mask we were only able to sleep on one side (we did not like laying on the tubing) The CC you are able to sleep on both sides and the tubing is light weight. The plus also to the comfort curve over the swift is :you can lay your head onto your pillow unlike the swift which you had to hang your head off of the pillow. I found the CC held a good seal for me and my wife and gave us excellent numbers(AHI) in the morning.The CC was to me a lot quieter than the Swift. The exhaust was similar and I still had the problem with air blowing onto the sheets and making noise but not as bad as the swift. if you like the swift mask this is one mask you might want to try. For now I am happy with the Comfort Curve

What? no exhaustive testing regarding rain-out! This is my biggest concern and had hoped to see some definitive results regarding this subject.

Yes Mikesus, thanks for the review, very well done. In the part about clipping the tubing to the sheets, I couldn't see clearly how this was done in your photo. It seems doing this would in effect tie your face to the position of your sheets. I constantly flip my sheets on and off and readjust them through the night (to modulate my temperature mostly). Is it necessary to clip the hose to the sheets?

Otherwise the comfort curve is looking very tempting.

Rainout is my main concern also. I will tell you we had a cool southern night the second night I had the CC and my F&P150 was set at level 2. the temperature outside was in the mid 60's. I love an attic fan, I grew up in the 60's and that was the only thing we had to cool the house. And the fan was blowing that cool air into the room.The room temp was 68 degrees.That second night I woke up with heavy rainout all in the tubing and a whistling sound coming from the CC. I am not complaining because you have to use common sense when you use a heated humidifier. I do not run the attic fan at night now and I have turned the F&P 150 down to level 1 but I still leave the window open. No rainout. I know the rainout will be back though when we get into cooler weather. I cannot do anything about that our house as too many drafts and the only thing I found that worked was the heated hose.

to me respironics would have been better to have sold an insulated sleeve (separately)for their tubing instead of the" The ComfortCurve Bridge Variety Pack (sold separately) includes 5 color bridges that allow for a fun option to customize the interface for a personalized expression" I could have care less on that item and more on the rainout issue that WILL come to me. I would rate this mask an A but come winter I might give it a differnet grade. I (IMO) rate this mask so high I am going to buy one for my wife(lh) and my father (fh)... You got to love a family that all has sleep apnea I hope respironics will be able to address the rainout issue with this mask in the future

Has anyone found an easy way to adapt these to the 420E and its sensor line? That is the only thing keeping me from buying one, and I don't want to connect the 420 hose to the CC hose and have 12 feet of hose..

I use a heated hose and set my humidity at 4 or 5, so I think rain-out would be a big problem for me using the CC.

I clip mine to my shirt. Of course I wouldn't recommend this if you don't wear a shirt to bed!

Nope, for me tho, it keeps the tension off the smaller hoses. What I did tho was loosen the little velcro hose strap so the hose can slide thru it and it keeps the hose up but not firmly affixed if that makes sense...

Dunno, I have mine at 4 and don't get rainout. That was both here in VA and also this last week in Michigan...
