difference between nasal masks and nasal pillows?

Post by rux1960 » Tue Feb 12, 2008 10:42 pm

why people wear nasal pillows ? I get the tota face mask is for folks who breath through the mouth but what is the difference between nasal pillows and masks...does this depends on the diagnosis , the pressure or whatever the doctor described? just curious...although I don't think I could get those pillows in my nose there a better reason for them ( makes the treatment more effective or anything?)

C o m f o r t.

They are lighter, and touch less of your face. Of course, they're not more comfortable for everyone - but for those of us that do use them, they're incomparably more comfortable.

With nasal pillows, there's no air blowing on your face, you can scratch your nose without affecting the seal, I find them easier for side sleeping, and I sweat less in them - which is important in the summer.
