It used to be my mask of choice, but I turn a lot in my sleep and experienced leaks while on my side. the mask leaked at the bottom corners in that position. I use a medium size. I'm now using the Activa and getting a much better and more consistent seal even with rolling from side to side.

I am using the Comfort Gel size small. I did use the Profile Lite and it gave me good numbers, but the Comfort gel feels lighter on my face and is easier to take off. (I have not had any trouble with the connectors or the tabs as I am very careful to be gentle when putting on of taking off the mask.)

I bought a back up on CPAP auction last night, and my insurance will give me another one in March. That's called having spare parts if needed!

Is the blue gel part very soft?
I don't use the Comfort Gel, but I use the IQ mask another nasal mask that uses gel.

I find the gel part quite soft, as a matter of fact, when I was first using it I reached up to itch the side of my nose, and I scratched. I was concerned because I couldn't feel anything. I started pressing my flesh to confirm that it had no feeling.

It didn't. That's because I was poking at the "gel cushion". I mistook it for my actual skin.

I would like the chance to at least try on the Comfort Gel to compare them... but in short I like it's softness and from what I understand it is more comfortable than the silicone cushions... but I don't know that to be true for sure, I haven't compared the two.

The comfort gel is my FAVORITE mask----i use the PETITE size----so be careful that you do get the correct size. The gel cushion is much more comfortable than the cushion on the F&P 407 that I tried during my sleep study --but I still keep the F&P 407 for a backup. You will love this gel part especially if you are a side sleeper. Get the pad a cheeks for each side or you will wake up with strap marks in the morning--good luck!!
