I am curious to how many people on this forum have to use a pressure of 18 or higher? I have to use the pressure of 20 and went to a bi-level that ramps down to 10 on breathing out but I still feel the resistance. Because of allergys and asthma I have to use a full face mask which I can deal with. Also how is everyone handleing the high pressure?

Hi Lostone. I use a bipap at 19cm /13cm. It seems to be ok for me. I cannot tell I have the pressure so high. How long have you been on the bipap?

I have only been using the bipap for about a week. It took two months to convince my doctor that I needed one because I was having problems with bloating and feeling very uncomfortable. That is slowly going away not, thank goodness.

I have the 18 pressure (18/14 with bipap). Been on it since November. It's still hard, I'm sad to say. But it seems to get slowly better, very slowly. I really don't think it's the mask, but more the pressure, but not entirely sure, and I haven't yet tried another mask. But that pressure wakes me up after it ramps to full speed. Not all the time, but lots.
