Hello everyone! I'm a new poster long time lurker:) I received my Comfort Lite 2 mask on Friday and I have a question. I did some searches and I've found that you are all really great at the mask mods. I'm wondering if anyone has made a fleece cover to go over the nasal pillow interface. My problem is the condensation build up in my mask from breathing. When this happens the moisture tries to escape the vent holes and it causes a whistle effect. I do have a fleece cover on the hose and I have my humidifier set at 1 but it doesn't seem to matter. I don't have it in my budget to get the heated hose right now so I'm trying to make due. So has anyone tried to cover the interface without covering the vent? Did it help?
My fleece cover worked on the optilife for the rainout issues I just couldn't handle the blue plastic pieces of that mask digging in to my face. Ugh! I think I could really be compliant with the CL2 if I could only fix the moisture.
Thanks!
Minders

Comfort Lite 2 - whistle question

Hi Minders,
I don't quite know what to suggest other than a double fleece cover? and perhaps also a fleece cover for the smaller hose on the mask? Run the hose under the bedcovers?
I have been using a CL2 for a couple of weeks without any problems but I do use the Aussie heated hose. In addition, I use a tweak suggested on this forum ... added the Activa/.... etc. small replacement hose to go between the small hose on the CL2 and my heated hose since the heated hose is a bit heavy ... it reduces the weight on my head.
I'm afraid that probably doesn't help much but might give you an idea or two.

If you liked the optilife mask, and the only problem was where the 'wings' dig in, get in touch with Padacheek. She makes a little cover for the wing that stops them from digging in! You can reach her at http://www.padacheek.com or just PM her, she is a forum member.

Thanks for your suggestions! I was able to fashion some cushions for my optilife mask and it worked this week pretty well. I received my reptile heat cable today that I'm going to try with fleece my hose cover like p2pjunkie is using. Hopefully it will prevent moisture with my CL2. Wish me luck!!

Re: Comfort Lite 2 - whistle question
I covered my CL2 interface tube with fleece (2 layers) and it didn't help at all. I'm still having the same issue as you.minders1976 wrote: So has anyone tried to cover the interface without covering the vent? Did it help?
I also covered my hose with fleece, 1/2 inch foam water pipe insulation under that, and 1/8 inch "foundation to ledger seal" (blue poly house building product) under that. And guess what? I still get rain out. I think I'll need one of those heated hoses, too.
I hadn't heard about the Reptile heater. I'm going to check that out.
