CPAP AUCTION

Post by KAZ » Fri Jan 25, 2008 10:00 am

CPAP AUCTION is a great well run source for us to save some bucks on items, especially when we are buying out of pocket. For example, I've bought at auction two excellent machines(new in package) for what one would have cost at the best on line vendor for the same identical item. The thing that has amazed me is that the auction prices of some small items is crazy. For example, I was the first bidder on some tubing and started at the opening bid and went up to what I felt was the most that I would pay. Now, two other bidders(neither are CPAP Forum members)are fighting it out,and have bid this item up to what it can just be ordered for outright on line

That happens on auction sites all the time. You are smart and you know what the value of an item is. Some people don't do their homework or perhaps they are comparing the price to what they'd have to pay locally and have no concept of the better deals available on line.

Howdy,

It appears to be an outpouring of support coupled with blatant promotion. I'll allow it.

I think it is a great post as well KAZ. Yes, Johnny, thank you, greatly appreciated.

I think all these thoughts have crossed our minds as we visit cpap.com or are bidding on something and get outbid.

Yardbird had a great answer as well. It helped me better understand a lot of reasons why some people bid to what may appear to me as unreasonable, but reasonable in their eyes.

Your right. I know what I am willing to spend and generally on an auction I want a real DEAL. If not I might as well pay full price from CPAP.com or get my insurance to cover it. There are also people who get caught up in an auction and spend even more than they wanted too. It is kind of like gambling! LOL

Hey Newbies - check the retail price at cpap.com before bidding up an item at cpapauction.com past it's retail price.

Good lesson to learn for all online auctions.

And I think this thread is well worth the disk space just for the image of Johnny Goodman skipping off.

Thanks Johnny!

SURE IS BLATANT ! ....also the auction format is easier for a seller to list an auction than on ebay....
