I used the Mirage Swift for several months and never had any problem. Thought the Swift II would be even better. Not so! As it ramps up and the pressure gets higher it starts to squeal and whistle. It must be a leak but I can't find it. I suspect it might be at the joint where the hose connects to the mask. Since the mask is relatively new I was wondering whether anyone else experienced this problem or it's specific to my mask. If it is i may return it to my DME. I can't sleep with it!!!

Yep - have had same problem! I use teflon plumber's tape around the threads of the joint (as suggested by other forum members). It made a big difference. My Swift II was fine for about 6-8 weeks and then started with the leaks.

Hi FN,
I've been using teflon tape there, too but the silicone plugs sound handy too. I'm not getting a "visual" on how you do that ... would appreciate a little more detail

Mindy,
There is a gap between the plug and the cylinder of the mask. I use the Mack's Plugs like people have mentioned before by rolling a piece of one in my fingers until it makes a string like shape. I then wrap that around the space between the stopper and the cylinder and push it tight. You can put a piece of Teflon tape over it also, but I don't think that is necessary.

Ok, FN - I think I've got it now.
Thanks!
