Sharon,
I was wondering about that cream, but was afraid it would irritate my nerves in the area.
I was receiving massage for awhile with my leg/hip problems, and I can't believe how it caused so much pain the next day! It seemed to help a couple days later, but didn't last long.
Mitzi.....I'm sorry you had a bad day. Things are like that for me too.......I think I've finally found the answer to some of the pain, and it just quits working. I think our bodies are just never the same from one day to the next, and its easy to make certain connections that just end up not being valid and maybe were just coincidence. I hope you have a better day soon.

massage is the best

Over all the years, by far the best investment I ever made was the couple of thousand dollars we spent sending my wife to massage school. Massage does help. Myofascial relief, if you can stand it, can give you relief for hours. I believe sometimes that massaging a trigger point or other painful areas has the same effect as the capsicum/ capsaicin, it hurts so bad it depletes the "p" supply and sometimes you get an endorphin rush too.

The bodysonic (was rolphing) was too hard until I found someone good. Shiatsu too. But my wife studied Okazaki Restorative Massage which seems to work the best.

Like excercize, like walking, it is definitely worth it to push through the pain to the other side. As long as they don't damage you, which is pretty easy to tell. It's like a pulled muscle that hurts for several days.

Take care,

Talyn

My daughter is a licensed massage therapist and I love it when she comes home to visit and gives me a massage...she works on my triger points ...she massages very lite and kinda works it outthen get firmer...it does hurt when she first starts but of course it hurts us normally to touch..it really does feel good...It is one of those pains that feel good...Mitzi
