MyEncore first impressions

Post by subo » Sun May 08, 2005 3:27 pm

MyEncore looks great, easy to use and understand. For an user, displays are much better than in Encore Pro. Elegant design. With my RemStar Auto data, 3 MyEncore views are empty - Var Breathing, Secs in Apnea, & Av. Apnea Duration. Is that expected behavior?

I have just downloaded and installed the "dotnetfx.exe" file. Thanks for the info. I would lke to join your band of brave souls if you would like another volunteer. I tried to send you a pm a few minutes ago but for some reason the system will not accept it. My e-mail address is nornin@comcast.net

Derek--

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but on loading MyEncore this AM I got two error messages, and when I continued past them, all of the views were empty. The two messages (paraphrased) were:

01/01/0001 is outside the min/max date range.

Index was outside the bounds of the array.

Hope this helps--do you want anything else done as a bug-reporting protocol?

Best--

My Encore

Just ran My Encore for first time. Your program is outstanding! Much easier to read useful data from than Encore Pro. Do you plan to add a print capability?

Comments on Program:

When I click on the My Encore icon, amessage comes up saying "Unhandled exception has occurred, Index was outside the bounds of the array". When I clicked the continue button the program ran fine.

Va Breathing, Seconds in Apnea, & Av Apnea duration charts were blank.

I used the most recent 20 days of data for the charts( 12 Apr to 3 May). The charts were OK for the first few days and the last few days of the period. However, no data was shown for the period 17 April to 29 April on the Daily AHI, Daily FLI, & Daily SI.

Everybody,
Thanks for all your comments. I am concerned that a few of you are getting errors, and that for some of you three of the graphs are not showing up. It all works fine for me I need to get to the bottom of these problems, but without access to your databases, I'm scratching my head as how to identify exactly what is causing the problem.

Little E: Since you are logged in as Guest I can't PM you. You should see a "Print" button on the lower right of each plot. Please let me know (email ?) if it's not there - if it isn't we have a real problem

For all of you, my email is drowell@mit.edu Let's communicate by PM or email.

I will try to find out how I might import one of the problematic databases to my computer for debugging. I will then probablyask for a volunteer or two to email your database so that I can work out exactly what is going on. If there are any Microsoft SQL Server experts out there who will work with me, please let me know.

In the meantime, I ask anybody who would like MyEncore to be patient and wait 'til I resolve these problems. I don't want buggy software out there...

Update: over the last day or so I have added the following features (not released yet):
1) A button on the preferences page that takes you to a new form where you can select which plots you want to include/exclude on the tabs at the top of the form. When you save your preferences it will remember these settings.
2) The ability to choose a date range for computing the pressure based plots so that you might look at long term trends. In the current version all of your data is used to compute those plots.

Thanks again,
derek

I found the print buttons. They were off the bottom of the screen but by moving the box around on the screen I was able to make enough of the print button visible so that I can click on it.

Hey Derek
If you are still taking guinea pigs I'd love to try your software. Just got diagnosed a couple of days ago, and I'd really love to be able to track my progress. Haven't gotten my machine yet but am hoping to get the Remstar Auto with Cflex. Any suggestions from anyone for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I need to go for a sleep study.

Are any of the sensors attached around or near the waist or hips?

Thanks for your reply.

Respironics Algorithm for Apap

Post by Guest » Tue Jun 21, 2005 11:25 am

I went to see a new sleep doctor. He said he would like to see a copy of the Respironics algorithm so he can see how accurate the output from the software is. Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy?

1) Derek's program is using the data from the Respironics software to make a more user-friendly product in terms of display. If it isn't accurate, that means the Respironics software isn't accurate.

2) If your sleep doctor doesn't know how to get a copy of the Respironics algorithms, then you are in serious trouble.

3) The algorithms can be found in the patents for the product.

How often can one receive the soft interface for the Resmed Ultra Mirage full face mask under Medicare? What is the code?

Johnny,

Many times the words exceed the width of the screen which makes it necessary for one to scroll from side to side. Is it possible to contain the words within the normal width of the screen so scrolling from side to side is unnecessary?
