I have been using a cpap for three weeks and am feeling so bloated, today I feel like I am off balance and out on a ship. But mostly I can't handle the
weight gain, I thought it was supposed to help to lose weight. I am wearing the mask every night I have logged over 140 hours with the machine.
Any suggestions
feeling strange
Go to the drugstore and pick up some
Mylicon -- it should help get some of that heavy air out

Feeling bloated
What machine are you using and what pressure are you at?
I was prescribed CPAP at 15 and the bloated feeling / chest pain / farts just about made me throw in the towel. I tried Gas-X to relieve the gas and had myself so propped up in bed (so I could belch the air out) that it felt like I was sitting upright.
I stuck with it, lost 25 lbs. and switched to a PB 420E (autopap) set at a pressure range of 8-15. Now, I spend around 90% of the night at a pressure of about 9.5 and only periodically go up to 11.5. No more pain, nor more bloating.
If appropriate, consider getting an autoPAP machine.
