I still have problems sometimes deciphering these at a glance. How does this night look to you guys?

The leak data looks a little iffy, but otherwise overall it looks basically OK... what mask type do you have set in your S8 and what is the published bias flow rate of you Somnoplus mask?

Also how did you feel in terms of the quality of sleep you achieved?

Cheers,

Bill

If I could figure out how to read those goofy ResMed charts, I'd take a stab at it.......sorry. I was thinking maybe Slinky or Bill Bolton would help you out.....but we'll at least keep it up on the page.

Den, if you can read those wacky Respironics graphs and charts you sure oughtta be able to read the Resmeds! Even "I" can understand the Resmed charts and graphs.

For instance, the leak graph: easy enough. There was a 15 L/m leak about 11:30 PM, another leak of 14 L/M about 3:45 AM, a few leaks about 8 L/M and most leaks <=5 L/M.

That one apnea of about 11 seconds duration occurred about 5 AM and not in conjunction w/a large leak. The black boxes are the hypopneas and when they occurred, all of them about 5 seconds in duration.

And yeah, you know if Resmed crops up in a post, BillBolton and/or I, will almost always show up. And sometimes DSM.

Bill, correct me if I'm wrong on any of this. Maybe I don't understand them as well as I think I do. But that is the way I've always interpreted mine.

Please help my puzzlement. These are not ResMed AutoScan charts. Are they from ResMed's new ResScan software? Has ResMed really decided to stop expressing leak as L/s based on their proprietary mask characteristics, and display L/m usable for ANY mask? Is the red line at 25L/m a "generic" cutoff guide? And what mask has an inherent "leak" of only between zero and 5 L/m, as displayed? I'm very confused. Are we looking at total mask flow-through, or "leak" above the mask characteristics? I'm not sure what software produced what I'm looking at, or what I'm looking at. Appreciate an expert explanation!

Also I have to say that night I was using the F&P 407 mask. I rotate between 3 different masks.
To be truthful I know there is a mask setting on the machine but not for any of the masks I use so I use the generic setting.
