So far as I know they are made in Israel.

The box says "Made in Israel".....so, I think we can count on it. Not that it makes a heck of a lot of difference...............
It works....it's a good value.......and that's all I care about.

No. I ordered on 5 Feb, changed my mind, canceled on 5 Feb. They charged my card 8 Feb.

I called again and now they have no record at all of my purchase. Funny, wonder how they charged me. Med1online is bad news. I wouldn't EVER use them again, I don't care how cheap their prices get.

Have you tried filing a complaint with BBB-Online?

Your CC company should indemnify you against unauthorised transactions.

Med-1 called and said they canceled it but it could take about 2-3 weeks for the money to show up.

Medi1

Post by Arizona-Willie » Fri Feb 08, 2008 7:09 pm

Talked to Julie late this afternoon around 4 and she thought they had gotten the units in but said she wanted to check and would call me back.

Suuuurrreeee....of course she did not call me back.

In contrast to this outfit, the company I ordered the other one from yesterday afternoon sent me email this morning notifying me of shipment via UPS with a tracking number...should be here Monday. UPS always comes around 5 PM or so here, so it will be late Monday before I get it.

But what a pleasure to deal with a company that follows through and does what it says.

I just hope their unit is a good one. Time will tell.

Medi1 had the gall to send me an email this morning to get me to buy more stuff from them when the stuff i ordered almost a month and a half ago still hasn't arrived.

Something tells me I may never see the oximeter or my money again.

I'm giving them until Tuesday and then if still no result will ask for money back and if I don't get it promptly will file a report with BBB-online plus complain to my credit card company.

I've had it! I don't have this kind of money to throw away.

Report them to the C.C. company

I charge everything I purchase on-line through my C.C. and if I have any problem, I print out my emails with them, call the bank and they immediately refund my money and then go after those bums!

Small claims court

Post by Arizona-Willie » Sat Feb 09, 2008 8:25 am

It occurs to me that the best way to deal with this company might be to file suit in Small Claim Court.

Only costs maybe $25 for filing fee...don't need a lawyer.

It would cost them far more to send someone to represent them than they are losing on the deal, and they know they would lose anyway.

Just show the court your email acknowledging the purchase and a copy of your bank / credit card statement where they deducted the money and an affadavit that you have never received the item ... instant win.

And, notify the BBB too.

A couple of days ago I purchased an Oximeter from this location:

for #299 and it comes with software, etc. Check it out! I did a search on this site to see if anyone else has any experience with it but could find none. Your thoughts?
Here is some more information about this pulse oximeter:

Yes, it's made in China. So is a lot of stuff we buy and use everyday, like iPods, glasses, cell phones, clothing, TV sets, etc etc etc. I don't stress about where it's made.

What makes me hesitate are Devon's poor return policy and the fact that I don't know anything about the manufacturer, other than what I read at the above links.

But, the product and price do look pretty good.

One other thing. Someone said Devon's return policy is only 7 days. Does that mean you get to try the item for 7 days and return it if you don't like it?

Here's med1online's return policy:

"Med1Online provides the strongest return policy in the industry. In order to reduce your return expenses, we only charge the vendor's restocking fee plus a small service fee. If we mess up, you pay no fees whatsoever! ...
Merchandise must be returned complete, unused and in its original packaging....A refund will be issued to the original credit card within 1-2 billing cycles....

"No restocking fee shall apply to returns made as a result of Med1Online or its vendor's error. For all other returns, a restocking and processing fee will be assessed. The restocking fee shall be equivalent to the manufacturer's restocking fee. The processing fee is equal to 5% of the transaction value. The restocking fee and processing fee shall never exceed 30% of the transaction value."

Here is Med1Online's order cancellation policy:

"Med1Online understands that customers must cancel orders from time to time....All cancellations must be received within 72 hours of order submission....If your credit card has been processed prior to the order cancellation, a 3% cancellation fee shall apply."

Good grief! Since they process credit card charges almost immediately, it would be almost impossible to avoid the 3% fee.

Don't they have to send it first before we can return it?

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Anyone willing to bet whether they would admit that they did "mess up"? Love the clear definition!
