90%?

Post by 6PtStar » Thu Dec 27, 2007 3:03 pm

Okay, I did a search for 90% and got nothing. I thought I understood but now I am confused. What does 90% mean? On the leak data you have Max, avg and 90%. Is avg 50%? When I run in Auto mode I get a 90%pressure. I thought it was the pressure I spent 90% of the time in but looking at the time spent in each pressure range it ain't even close to 90% of anything that I can see.

Can anyone explain it to me so that my brain less the 140 million dead gray cells (from not having a cpap 20 years ago) can understand it.

Jerry

Thanks Den. I missed the at or below. Wonder why my search for "90%" did not turn those links. I understand now.

This isn't exactly the best "search function" to use. It helps to be able to use a WORD to search on. Searching on "90" or "90%" didn't work for me, either.

In reality, I probably could have typed it out faster than the time I spent searching......

Here's a helpful "Search" hint that blarg and CollegeGirl posted once (or maybe more than once )

If the Search button on this site doesn't find what you want right away, try doing a Google search.

For example, to find posts about the "90%" pressure, go to Google and type this into the Google search box, exactly like this:

90% site:cpaptalk.com

The very first link it found was a topic in which blarg wrote:

"Just wanted to clarify.

90% pressure is the pressure that the machine functioned AT OR BELOW for 90% of the time.
"

Second link from the Google search turned up Den's "At or below" post.
ResMed S9 VPAP Auto (ASV)
Humidifier: Integrated + Climate Control hose
Mask: Aeiomed Headrest (deconstructed, with homemade straps
3M painters tape over mouth
