Just finished my second night using a Respironics Auto w/C-Flex and heated humidifier. I kept the mask on eight full hours each night. Second night was better than the first. First night I ran straight CPAP and had some discomfort exhaling. The second night I ran CPAP with C-Flex set at 2 and it made a world of difference. I have the heated humidifier set at 3, although I would like to breathe cool air, but am afraid to run it without the heat. Will I wake up with a sore throat if I do?
The Mirage Activa mask is great and I also have the Aura with the rested gal modification. I couldn't tolerate the Aura's "lockbox" and rested gals' brilliant idea was an inspiration. I even snipped off and incorporated the Aura's velcro straps onto pieces of elastic to give me adjustability.
These past two nights would never have been successful without the knowledge I have gained on this board. The little things, like using moleskin on sensitive areas of my face, are the things that separate success from failure. Today's project is to install the Encore software and card reader. Derek's article will be next to me the whole time.

Hi Newsgrouper,
It sounds like you are off and running. Sleep is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
I have not been as brave as some to convert the Aura. The RG modification does sound interesting though.
At cpap.com, I recommend the Mirage Activa to many a customer. I am glad to hear that it is working.
Regards,
Titrator
