Is it true these machines record your hi's alittle higher than others? My ai numbers have been under 1 but my ahi is higher because of my hi's being higher. My ahi has been under 5 so I guess I am doing ok but just wondering because I remember reading a post about resmed machines recording results on the higher side.

There nothing unusual about that with any flow generator.sleepyhead63 wrote:My ai numbers have been under 1 but my ahi is higher because of my hi's being higher.

Sometimes you will see hypopneas referred to or described as "apnea-wanna-bees". Hypopneas are restricted airflow whereas apneas are obstructed airflow. So some or a good many or even all of those hypopneas are apneas on their way to happening but which were prevented from occurring by the xPAP air pressure.
