Resmed autoset vantage?

Post by sleepyhead63 » Tue Dec 11, 2007 5:57 pm

Is it true these machines record your hi's alittle higher than others? My ai numbers have been under 1 but my ahi is higher because of my hi's being higher. My ahi has been under 5 so I guess I am doing ok but just wondering because I remember reading a post about resmed machines recording results on the higher side.

There nothing unusual about that with any flow generator.

Cheers,

Sometimes you will see hypopneas referred to or described as "apnea-wanna-bees". Hypopneas are restricted airflow whereas apneas are obstructed airflow. So some or a good many or even all of those hypopneas are apneas on their way to happening but which were prevented from occurring by the xPAP air pressure.
