Low Sleep Number + Mask = I need help

Post by KingdomeMariner » Tue Dec 11, 2007 5:03 am

So I am a side sleeper, and sleep at a 35 on my sleep number bed. This causes me to need a very low fluffy pillow for my neck, which tends to push up against my face a bit. I have tried a swift II, only to find the pillow kept pushing it out of posiiton. I am currently using a comfort gel, but find that it leaks as well when i lay on my side. Any ideas?

It took me a while to get all the adjustments right, but my comfort Lite II works very well with either of the nostril interfaces.

When I turn on my side I kind of burrow into the pillow to adjust the forces omn the mask.

Good Luck,
TerryB

1) Switch to a tempurpedic style pillow
2) Hang the front of your face off the edge of the pillow
3) Try the Nasal Aire II

I loved my contour memory foam pillow, but due to how far i sink into the bed (i am over a duce and a half) i cant use even the smallest contour...i am on a pillow buiilt for stomach sleepers so it compresses enough to keep my back in-line

There's something called a Pap pillow - designed for using Cpap, and you can just Google it to see what it's like.

The PAPillow and the "Shapeable" pillow from Target are the two best pillows I've used for sleeping with a cpap mask. I usually use the PAPillow. I switch to the "Shapeable" pillow on some nights just for a change.

Aeiomed's "Headrest" nasal pillows mask is the best mask I've found for sleeping in any position. It's the best mask I've used for letting me lay the side of my face absolutely flat on a pillow without having to hang the front of my face off the edge of a pillow. You can really snuggle down into your pillow with that mask. No hard plastic shell pushing into your cheek, or bulky nasal pillows holder getting pushed sideways.

All that said, pillows and masks are very individual likes/dislikes. What works so comfortably for me might not at all for someone else.
