I tried too with no luck, so don't feel bad...LOLLubman wrote:I'm still waiting for mine. Think they said it should come by today.
Does anyone know what service the tracking number they sent might correspond with? I tried australian post and the major shipping companies to no avail.

Anybody else ordered an Aussie heated hose
I think it may be an Australian shipping company ... didn't recognize the name and don't have the package anymore.Lubman wrote:I'm still waiting for mine. Think they said it should come by today.

I hate to tell you this, but I don't think you will have much luck trying to track this. After it arrives in USA it is put thru USPS as standard mail delivery. I don't recall seeing any type of identification you could track on the package.Lubman wrote:I'm still waiting for mine. Think they said it should come by today.

I think you are going to have to be patient. Between customs and Christmas mail, it is unlikely to be fast.

Same here--the tracking number they provided never worked. I tried it using the Australian post tracking website. Apparently, the mail type they use does not provide the tracking feature. But, my hose finally came! We're all just so used to being able to track our USP and USPS packages these days that it's a little annoying when we can't track our Aussie hose orders. It was worth the wait, though! No more rainout!!

Mine came today. No problems, no extra postal charges.
Still has the postage paid return card from Australian post.
And the good thing, for the few of us that use a ResMed ASV --
the 90 deg adapter and the hose pass Learn Circuit with no problems
which is a "calibration" mode on the ASV that is know to be rather fussy.
I can't wait to try it - especially on such a cold night --- I might not have to deal with rainout any more

The lower your pressure, the more chances you have of experiencing that.
At my perssure - averageing a little more than 7 - I need the heated hose, a additional hose cover (that is, in addition to the one that comes with the HH), and a covering for the the narrow tube that connects the hose to the mask.
A couple of nights ago the hose's connection to the electricity didn't catch - I woke up the sounds of hissing an fizzing, and in a few seconds had the doubtful pleasure of breathing some water into one of my nostrils...
Never happens when the hose is properly connected.
The price is in AUD - you can always check exchange rates here http://www.xe.com/ucc/

Considering how long it takes to fly to the east coast and then on to Western Australia, which can take over 2 days - I am amazed you get much of anything from USA in a reasonable amount of time.Crikey guys you should seehow long it takes to get anything for the USA delivered.
Regarding costs - the xe.com site listed above is the best currency conversion site. I paid AUS$155
And although I awoke dried out a couple of times and had to refill the humidifier, I had no rain out. Now I must readjust settings of the humidifier and the inside temperature to avoid drying out. If the hose contributes too
much then I will look for a lower voltage adapter so the hose doesn't get as hot.

There are a couple of options to the aussie heated hose.deerslayer wrote:now you,ve got me curious about the aussie. is this the only alternative ? i woke up last night with water running out of my mask. is not helping the blister above my lip any ...is it really $140.+
First, you must put a warm cover on your hose. If that isn't enough to stop the rainout, then run the hose under the covers next to your body. That works very well for me.
I just got the aussie hose, but I'm not sure if I like it yet. I'm going to try getting a lower power supply (9 volt vs the 12 volt they provide) and see if that helps. It just seems to be too hot to me.
I'm still getting some condensation with my Headrest and its stupid tube configuration. I"m unwilling to decapitate since the reason I bought it is to keep anything from touching my face. I'm having abrasion issues leading to an acne called milia where headgear touches my face. My derm says it is caused by abrasion.
So, I knit a tiny tube out of Alpaca yarn (the best insulating animal hair) to slip onto the part of the Headrest that seems to be the culprit but is impossible to get a regular fleece hose cover on to. I hope it will help. It is hard to tell if anything will work now since I have a bad headcold (thanks to my preschooler age son) and sleep seems like pure torture right now.

Jen,
Last year when I used the Headrest with its headgear I looped finger gauze around the nasal seal (in addition to wrapping the tube).
