Made me laugh.......

Post by Country4ever » Wed Dec 05, 2007 1:15 pm

Hi all,

I was on a fibromyalgia forum and someone asked what we did that helped us to feel better. One of the things I mentioned was using CPAP. She wrote back very innocently and asked "What is CRAP?" At that time I was having a hard time dealing with my CPAP and the word she chose fit perfectly as to how I was feeling toward it!! I just had to laugh!!

Lol, yes we all feel that way sometimes but let me say that I had double septoplasty & turbinate reduction 16 days ago today and I WANT MY CPAP BACK! I snore all night, wake up with knots in the back of my hair I guess from gasping for air all night! I am keeping my hubby awake again, he had just got used to the fact that I wasn't snoring anymore after 4 months of therapy, had adjusted himself to go to sleep without my snoring then BAM, here I go again. I used to gripe & complain about the mask but now I welcome it back asap, I get this rapid heartbeat when I'm not on cpap and with it, I didn't have one rapid heartbeat AT ALL in the 4 months i've been on it! We have our ups & downs and our pro's & con's with this therapy but IT IS WORTH EVERY SECOND using it! I need it back soon, I might try it tonight real loose, I need that air but my nose is still very sore

HI Sleepynomore........I was just thinking about you earlier and wondering how you were doing. I had 2 sinus surgeries about 8 years ago, but they weren't as involved as your's.......so you have my sympathy! With the second surgery, the packing made me sooooooooo nauseous, I couldn't even ride in a car to have it removed........so my hubby had to take it out. It took all his force to get that out!
I'm sorry you can't use your CRAP machine right now. How soon do you think you'll be allowed to use it?

Life on the RANCH has been slow as of late

I just upgraded my CPAP though

I couldn't sleep on a recliner either.... I bought one of those adjustable beds though... I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although, I had been a side sleeper so long... it was hard to learn to sleep on my back again.
