Hi Ted,
Its hard to believe that so many doctors actually graduated from med school. I'm so excited when I find one that's really good. But it makes me sad for people who don't think for themselves, and just always do what the doc says, without question. There are so many lay people out there who just always assume the doc is right no matter what.
I think I would have insisted on another sleep study sooner......had I not been so scared of them! I was allowed to take xanax for my last one, and I was able to sleep.
How did you set your APAP when you were running the test on yourself?

Initially, I just set it to a very wide range to see what the auto titration feature would record--at my min 6 and the machine's max. of 20. After using it for awhile with that setting, I could see that my max was 16, 90% 13, and the rest of night at 10. So, now I leave it set at at 10-16/min-max. My AHI tends to be in the 2-5 range, averaging around 3.5. And, I feel SO much better. Hooray for APAP, software and personal awareness!
