You will probably have to tell us which program you are using as it might make a difference.

You might want to join the group as there is a wealth of information on here.

It sound like you don't have it in a DIRECT USB plug -- Try the one on the back of your computer and reinstall the Mako software. Once you get a reading the card will have to be PLUGGED into that SAME port EVERY TIME!

Or is it possible you have the wrong driver for the Smartcard reader?

Or, the correct driver is not installed. (among many other possibilities)

Den
(5) REMstar Autos w/C-Flex & (6) REMstar Pro 2 CPAPs w/C-Flex - Pressure Setting = 14 cm.
"Passover" Humidification - ResMed Ultra Mirage FF - Encore Pro w/Card Reader & MyEncore software - Chiroflow pillow

You also have to go into Encore Pro, and tell it to download from the USB. the default is serial. They need a new programmer, he still thinks DOS.

You have to create a patient profile too. Jim

You could try Respironics support but if this is EncorePro and you're not a DME or similar, you may not get much response. Still worth trying, however.

I can't tell at a distance precisely what is wrong, but if I had to hazard a guess, I would think that the DVI installation may have overlaid a DLL that was also used by the EncorePro software with what is probably a newer version and won't work with EP. That kind of stuff happens! You could try uninstalling EP and then reinstalling but it's possible that then DVI might or might not work.....

Or find a local tech person to get hands on your computer to see if they can figure it out.

The other possibility is that there is a web site where, for a subscription fee, you can get expert help. If you're interested, let me know and I'll check on it. I don't know if it's only for businesses or not.

I'm confused. Why would you then say that the product is not working and that you're disappointed? (after installing the DVI)

Maybe you need to uninstall the DVI and whatever else was installed with it to see if it starts working again. Or.....reinstalling the Encore software again.

Or if you are using XP with Restore on, going back to a point when it was working. BTW: I've never had restore save me, so I turn mine off when I reinstall. What is DVI's real name? I may use it also. Jim
