That is another concern is how well I'll be able to tolerate the mask due to swelling and tenderness. From all I've read, swelling seems to be at it's greatest on Day 3. I opted to prop up on several pillows and sleep on my side without cpap, but even then only got two hours sleep. I'll probably try cpap tonight and see if I can tolerate the pressure on the mask/straps on my face. If it doesn't work out, my nasal pillows mask I won at auction should be headed my way soon.

thanks for all the advice; thinking about sleeping in recliner; bc this dry socket is no joke; but hadn't thought about the heater on humidifier; may TRY that first and if i wake and see it's bothering the tooth will IMMEDIATELY get in recliner

As I have said before, is it really going to matter 5 years from now that someone responded to a very old thread? And by the way, I am sure in 5 years, someone else will be doing the same thing. It happens.

By the way, I found the issues discussed interesting so personally, I didn't mind that an old thread was resurrected. I realize others may disagree.
