Help interpret software graphs for resmed software

Post by track » Tue Nov 20, 2007 7:35 pm

The machine is on cpap at a pressure of 10. I noticed on the pressure graph during an event that lasts for example 30+ seconds, that the pressure line dives down to five and then goes straight back to ten. This dive coincides with the dropping of the minute ventilation to the 5 line as well during the event. It's not related to leaks....that I am sure as the leak line during the events in question is flat and close to zero. Can anyone explain this routine dive of the pressure line during an event to well below what the cpap pressure has been set at?

Sorry, I have no experience with particular combination of kit you have, so can't provide any advice

Anyone attempting to answer this question needs to know that track appears to have an S7 Autoset with a Reslink Module (not what is shown in the signature line) and is using Autoscan 5.7 software. He is referring to the "detailed data" set of graphs, not the set of graphs that you see with an S8 and a ResScan card.

This might help to keep any answers on track.

Cheers,

Bill

Thanks Bill.....the pressure line looks like one of those lines you see on a lie detector test...a line that zig zags up and down. I can understand when it goes up during an event...just don't understand why the bottom falls out of it during the same event.
