I always thought I was a side sleeper until I got on cpap. Now I can tell by my software charts that I don't stay on my side but flip onto my back during the night part of the time.
No, I try to sneak over to her side!, That's not true.... Too Bad.

I too am a flopper, side mostly, you are correct by seeing with the software your sleeping position. I fall asleep on my back watching T.V., the software records a higher pressure, more snores, and a higher number of events, at that part of the night. It even wakes me up, then I set the timer for 20 minutes to shut the T.V. off. and roll on my side to go back to sleep, I never see the T.V. go off.

After going on my side the numbers get better, and the pressure goes down. Later in the morning before I wake up, I'm dreaming, (REM) and pressure goes up again. Jim

now that is pretty damn funny, goofproof...good one
Oh, really? hummmm, I wonder if that was the same cause of my nightmares too, and yeah, 2 or 3 a night sometimes that woke me up breathing heavily, you know, I haven't had any since I started on CPAP so I hope I never have them either again
yeah, same here...i would wake up gasping for air, shaking all over with my heart pounding, and i would just think, 'wow, that was a scary one!', but now i really believe they weren't run of the mill nightmares
