Respironics Remstar Auto w/ C-Flex

Post by imacpappro » Mon Nov 08, 2004 10:08 am

Anyone interested or excited about this? It looks like Respironics is rounding out thier product line with C-Flex. I have received many questions on when or will they ever add C-flex to the Remstar Auto. Well, here it comes. We are excited to get this product. All the details we have are on our newsletter at:

https://www.cpap.com/DisplayNewsletter/18

C-flex has been well received and the addition to the Remstar Auto is very unique. To have an Auto deciding what pressure you need on every breath plus C-flex making exhalation more natural makes this product unique and most likely a huge draw for most cpap users, especially those who use an Auto Adjusting Cpap.

Sounds very good to me. Would definitely be a machine I'd be looking at when the time comes. Do you know if the Encore Pro 1.3 software will work with that machine?

No, the newest version of Encore Pro software is required. The newest version is 1.4

Glad I decided on the PB420E auto and not the remstar auto.

I would hate to spend $600+ on a machine that is obsolete a month after I got it.

I hope cpap is not going the way of the pc.

Reminds me of the commercial where the guy is driving home in his convertible, all proud of his new state of the art "T9" computer until he drives by a billboard advertising the new "T10"

That's progress
Sincerely,

My final two choices were the RemStar Auto and the PB 420E...I chose the PB 420E and just love it!

I am happy with my choice...I have no problem with expiration using this auto CPAP machine. It was also 'easier' on the pocket-book. The data which is easily downloaded using the SilverLining 3 software...is very informative...and reasonably priced!

Hi again BigE,

I see you do love your 420E.

I concur with every point you've made and will add it's so small, light and simple - it's like a magic box!

Greetings Rested Gal. Respironics says that anyone with version 1.3 Encore Pro software can upgrade the software to 1.4 just by logging on to their website and downloading it. It is a free upgrade.

Version 1.4 is NOT available yet, but expect it soon.
