I take anti-depressants and Neurontin. Both are prescribed for pain now, but I have also taken them in the past for depression and mild bipolar.
It will be interesting to see if cpap eases your psych symptoms over time. It is logical it should, since lack of rem sleep causes all kinds of crazy thoughts and behavior. I wonder if anyone has done a study with this. It would seem that cpap would improve any mental health problem.
I did a lot of advocacy work in the 1990's. But no more. I also have worked in the field of community mental health for over 20 years. Part of the reason is simply the progression of my neuropathy, but now, like others here, I am only open about it if it can help someone else. Anyhow, there are some great Internet support forums run by consumers who have good ideas and help for members, much like this one helps anyone with sleep apnea.
I encourage you to

Yep, that's the only place she could work was Walmart. I worked there for a bit and hated it.kona0197 wrote:Look into an attorney. That's the only way your gonna get those benefits. I undergo treatment for lifelong unipolar depression. I currently take Wellbutrin, Cymbalta and Lamictal for depression.
I also see a doctor who has been trying to help me with my chronic daytime tiredness. He has given me Cytomel for a low T-3 level, a vitamin regimen and we have tried a sugar/starch free diet for insulin resistance all with little improvement.
Now I am recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and have had my CPAP less than two weeks so I am very interested to see what type of results I get from this therapy!!

Re: Anyone else have mental illness
Working in retail caused my depression.
Once I went back to school and got a real job, I was much better.
