From major league snorer to non snorer

Post by rock and roll » Thu Apr 21, 2005 8:06 pm

I stayed in a private home with four other men at a trade show recently. I used to be the top snorer in this group, I would keep the dead awake. Since cpap, noone hears me now and all the others marveled at it. They were all at first horrified at me in my get-up then facinated and when we were done with our two weeks, they were all going home to talk to their doctors. Great things thease things are in spite of the minor drawbacks. I may save a few marriages this week

Hi Rock & Roll,

I live alone, so when the sleep doc asked if I still snore, I had to say that I don't know.

I recently spent a night away from home with my sister (sharing a motel room), and I asked her the next morning if I snored. She said no -- she heard some whirring from the machine is all, and that didn't really bother her. We have traveled together quite a bit, and she was apprehensive about sharing with me (again). She was a little put off by the interface and getting everything set up, but was pleasantly surprised at the good sleep that she got! I used to carry earplugs to give to roomates if I had to share accomodations!

I feel so much better too! As TXKajun says -- "This therapy WORKS! Stick with it!"

Sleep well,

Jane

Snorers.

All my life my brother had teased me unmercifully about my snoring. I'd get every joke or comment imaginable. It got so bad, my feelings got hurt and I'd also get mad.

Finally, I learned only months ago that my brother had started with a cpap. I turned to his wife and asked her if my brother snored (before cpap). The eyes rolling confirmed it. That turkey! Teasing me all those years where all that time he was a snorer too. Now he's quit his cpap. Hmmm. Maybe THAT'S how I can get him to start again. I'll tease him about the snoring. I'll pester him so bad he'll be racing back to using his cpap in NO time!
