It seems that some physicians, although very well educated, spent too much time in book work and not enough time in social-skills class. An unfortunate imbalance.

Abso-tootin-lutely, on all points. I agree. The list of widely varied symptoms that resolve or improve to some degree after most people get great therapy is amazing. Most doctors have no concept of all that OSA/SDB can cause or contribute to.
