The recovery was very fast with just about no pain. I did have bleeding a day after the surgery. That was not comfortable with having to change the bandage every few minutes for a bit. It was hard to sleep in a chair for a few days. However, after five days the doctor removed the splints and clots and it was like a miracle. I could breath better than I ever have. It takes three months for full healing.

I was off CPAP for a month and had to readapt to using it again.

Speaking of deviated septums. There is a town in Kansas where a great many adult folks have had to travel to a nearby city to have their deviated septums repaired. The common thread that joins these folks is that they all had tonsil and adenoid removals done by a local doc. The story I heard from one of the victims was that the old boy removed the adenoids by dragging them through the nasal cavaties, thereby damaging the septum. Go figure.

This is actually a CT image revealing the delicate structures underlying the human nose.

The multicolored pockets, seen in a cutaway from below the nose looking up, are the paranasal sinuses—the air-filled spaces in the skull that are the bane of many an allergy sufferer.

I have a vision that we will figure out an easy way to ensure that children develop wide, deep, healthy and attractive jaws and then obstructive sleep apnea becomes an obscure bit of history.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ycw4uaX ... re=related
