Very cute!
I voted!
Now tell me, is she going to become a Democrat? a Republican? Libertarian? Green Party?
With the current crop of politicians we've had lately, I might want to remember her name in case she decides to run for president.
Although she likes dinosaurs, I'll bet she wouldn't vote to bomb us back into the stone age.

Wars arise from a failure to understand one another's humanness. Instead of summit meetings, why not have families meet for a picnic and get to know each other while the children play together?

Well, Katie didn't win the drawing contest. I expected it, but she was still a bit disappointed as that seemed to be her only chance to sit close to the stage. After tax and handling, the best seats sell for close $100 and as a family of 4 with the holidays fast approaching, we just couldn't afford that. The nosebleed seats are all we could swing financially; t-shirts and keepsakes would be out of the question.
Being the computer/Internet nerd I am, I did a little searching and found an online country/rock music blog that had a contest for 4 tickets to the show! All you had to do was e-mail them and include a few comments about dinosaurs. I did just that and attached Katie's drawing and she was chosen to receive the tickets!!!
We were a bit wary that it was a cruel hoax since we had to pick the tickets up at Will Call. Sure enough, the tickets were there waiting for us - 4 seats in the 3rd row!!! The kids (and adults) had a total blast! My son is 4 and was a little scared, but Katie, (who will be 7 in December) thoroughly enjoyed the show and only got a little scared at the T-Rex finale. The dinosaur puppets were all to scale and were amazing! I think it is the closest you can get to seeing dinosaurs outside of building a time machine and travelling back yourself.
Thanks again to everyone for the help. Even though she didn't win, I did show her this thread and let her know you were all pulling for her and voting for her drawing. She was beyond tickled and very grateful.

I'm glad you got the tickets! That's so great.
I voted for her drawing, too. I love kids drawings. I have two grandkids and they draw precious drawings.
