BrianRT, I wanted to add that you are one of the people on this board that inspires me!
All we can do is our best in the circumstances we find ourselves in. If someone does that, they can still look themselves in the mirror. To me, that's the important thing.

To clarify a point made earlier. The $200 charge is seperate from the amount a person would usually owe, say, the 20% of an 80%-20% plan for example.
To lightly respond to oceanpearl ( who I think was being a little facetious about being a business owner), there is nothing wrong with making a profit. However, the profit made on most of the other items (base CPAPs) more than offsets the occasional "auto cpap for keeps" (they are less than 1 in 50) Not to mention the typical DME trick of itemizing the items in a core pack or a mask (i.e. charging for the mask AND the headgear, though they come together )
