First night on CPAP Sleep Aid pillow

Post by NeedinZs » Fri Oct 05, 2007 8:07 am

Just thought I'd give you my 2 cents worth, in case anyone is contemplating the CPAP (SUPPOSED Multi-mask) Sleep Aid Pillow.

Arrived very quickly, was way smaller than appeared in the picture, very thin (which was what I wanted) .....I had such HIGH HOPES.

BUT.... it definitely does not work well with my current mask (ComfortLite One)
There is no way to fit the plastic headgear of that mask on the pillow, without making the mask leak. (Even though they show that mask, in one of their advertisements.) I was afraid of that! Gave myself a sore neck, trying to adjust to it last night.

That said, I may try it with my other masks. It seems kind of dumb to change my mask, just to fit a pillow!!

I had actually carved out my own foam pillow, before I order this one and it worked better, but still not good enough.

It does have a 30 day return guarantee. I'll test drive it another couple of nights before I give up completely..

Sorry it didn't work out for you on the first try. Hopefully, things will be better on the next try. I started using a memory foam pillow before cpap due to having a bad cervical disc and also a cervical fusion. Works well for me. I just sleep on the edge and my mask isn't on the pillow.

ah needinz's, what a bummer
glad it has return policy though! my dme wouldn't have taken back my papillow
someone on another thread mentioned it was thin (doesn't look so thin in the pic, though, does it ) and they put another thin pillow underneath and thought that worked well
i have a giant head, so my poor neck needs all the support it can get...no thin pillows for me!
sorry it wasn't what you expected...thanks for posting your review

BTW, if you want to carve up your own foam pillow, try using an electric carving knife. I bought one from a garage sale a while back, and it works really well.

If you go get foam cut at a foam store, they basically use a similar device.

Now, as to making the fancy pillowcase... I'm lost there!
