PMs on cpap.com

Post by Lea » Wed Oct 03, 2007 5:13 pm

I have used the option to PM folks. I noticed that my last four PMs are in my outbox and not in my sent box, which would explain why I'm not getting a response. I wrote to the cpap.com admin, but don't have an answer to my question yet. I was wondering if anyone could "enlighten" me. I am clicking on submit when my pm messages are done. Thanks.

Lea,

Someone else asked this a couple of months ago and I think the answer was that the messages stay in your outbox until they are opened by the addressee. Not sure though.

Good Luck

They will be in your Outbox until the recipient has read them, then they move to the Sent box.

The reason you haven't got any responses is because whoever you sent them to hasn't looked at them yet!

Cheers,

Bill

About PMs

Post by kteague » Wed Oct 03, 2007 6:08 pm

When I asked about the PMs in my outbox a while back that was the answer I got. There are options in our profile to notify us if we get a PM, but not everyone checks it. I notice when I log in and there is a PM I hear the click of a popup trying to come up but is blocked. If the person being PM'd is a regular poster, you could reply to their post and say to check PMs.

There's also a setting in preferences to send you an email when you get a PM. It's extremely handy getting a notification in my email!

Doug.
