Neck position during sleep

I don't believe my responses have been rude. But if you are promoting a product to relieve SDB without Cpap usage, I am looking for a scientific study that shows monitored sleep study results of your product along with patient reviews.

I am currently attempting to get independent high quality sleep labs to test the product. I too look forward to seeing the results. Thank you.

Getting back on topic... This thread is timely as I think I just figured out part of my SDB problem. I have mild-ish OSA (AHI 15) which seems to be well-controlled with APAP (AHI typically < 2). Yet I still have multiple awakenings during the night sometimes accompanied by a bit of anxiety. Recently, I started noticing a similar effect when I nod off watching TV. I noticed this evening that my chin had dropped to my chest when this happened. In bed I use a somewhat thick pillow and sleep on my side. But even on my side I think I tend to drop my chin and I also think my lower jaw tends to fall backwards both of which would tend to close off my airway. Sleepyhead does show a number of flow limitations although they don't always correspond to the waking events. I think I have an anxiety reaction which tends to wake me up before my APAP has a chance to increase pressure. That's my theory anyway...

So I'm wondering whether the soft cervical collar or a dental appliance (or both) might help me.

I'd also be happy to try out Dr Popitz's pillow if the cost is not exorbitant and invite him to post his studies once they are complete.

Why wonder? You can buy a collar for under $10. Go for it.

A dental appliance is going to cost you $1500-2000 and it is going to be a pain to wear.
