To all the people asking the question regarding the auto shut off feature, it does work, it just takes forever to shut off. I finally waited long enough and it did indeed "shut off", however it took so long roughly 20-30 seconds that I might as well just reach over and shut the machine off. I know this sounds like an easy task but I am sometimes drowsy when I wake during the night and the mask is so noisy that it would wake my wife if I waited the 30 sec's for it to shut off. I was just assuming that since the mask manual stated that the machine will shut off automatically when removed from your face that it (machine) would do just that. Instead, it takes so long to shut down that it doesn't really matter if it works or not, by that time the noise is so loud that I'm completely awake. So I have gotten into the habit of just opening my nightstand and try not to look at the reeeealllly bright blue lights and hit the stop button.
