Posh bag for CPAP?

Post by ozalchemist » Sat Sep 15, 2007 9:55 pm

Okay, it's a bit posy, but has anyone aquired a slightly more nondescript bag for their CPAP?

Most of my luggage is pretty battered, but the electric blue RESMED case does stick out a bit in an airport lounge.

SURELY some enterprising business has come up with the idea of designer CPAP bags?

Trust me, I'm a chemist...

Remstar's are inconspicuous black, that one is blue for better visibility so you don't trip over it when its keeping the door propped open
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

"is not allowed to fly anymore. So we are grounded"

What... forever?

Can you actually hijack a plane with a bullet? Don't you need a gun as well?

I can understand them getting perturbed... but you're banned from flying?

One of my friends purchased a bunch of plane tickets for her school organization members to go to a conference. Homeland Security tagged her as a flight risk and won't let her fly. Of course, she didn't know this until she arrived at the airport to go to the conference.....

In my experience, having a conspicuous and common/readily-recognisable-as-a-piece-of-medical-equipment sort of bag for CPAP is much better in terms of readily getting through the airline security checks.

Cheers,

Bill

Not to mention that it's less likely someone else will mistake it for their own and accidentally walk off with it...

Take a look at the "Pelican" cases. Been using the 1450 for the ResMed Elite for about 4 months. Protects the machine and big enough to carry everything I need for sleep when traveling, leave for Detroit in about half an hour will be gone overnight 4 days and it provides peace of mind when carrying my life support.

The box is not stylish, it does come in a bright orange. They cost no more that a designer bag. Though I go more for function than looks.

Best regards

Fred

Well I am not grounded.....just him, but don't really want to go anywhere by myself. Yeah, he was questioned at the airport for a long time and when he finally was allowed to leave Homeland Security came to the house to serve him a very official document saying he was grounded for an indefinite amount of time until they were able to research his background and that they would be in touch. That was October last year and nobody has been in touch.

I use a 17" wheeled tote bag, similar to a laptop bag, and have had no problems. It has a medical equipment tag similar to the one sold by cpap.com https://www.cpap.com/productpage/CPAP-M ... t-Tag.html

The standard Respironics bag filled with all the accessorial stuff just got to be too much for me to lug around.
