Well, that was interesting... (electricity out)

Fortunately, it was 6:30 am, but I had just snuggled down for an extra hour of sleep and found myself breathing in ....nothing... . Took off my mask as soon as I realized that the power had gone out.
The bad news is that I had a brief but upsetting ptsd sort of reaction, as my body flashed back to nighttime panic attacks.
The good news is that I really seem to have trained myself to sleep with my mouth closed - never occurred to me to open it to breathe!

Oh my. That's got to be a nightmare in the making. Now that I'm breathing and sleeping well, I don't want to be without my CPAP. The thought of power outages bothers me a lot. Hope your power is going to be stable again.

Thanks, Lineman.
We're up and running again ; only a 3-hour outage.
Doesn't happen too often, fortunately.

Happened to me too. it was when we had gone camping. (We have and RV so really not roughing it too bad) but hubby likes to turn too much on at once. Both air conditioners on, tv, couple fans, and blew a breaker in the night and I paid for it. I never woke up, but realized by the clock I had slept 5 hrs without the machine, and I paid for it.

Interesting… It has happened to me this morning at exactly same time. Are we neighbors?

Nope. I'm way west of NJ. Must be sunspots.

HOW did you sleep thru that? I'm awake seconds after the power goes out.

Well now, a power outage just happened to me last night! In anticipation of such an event (and for RV use next summer) I had ordered the 12V power cord for my REMstar and that arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon. Then at 5 PM, the power went out in our neighborhood! With night coming on, I quickly setup my CPAP in our travel trailer (in our backyard). I tested it with the 12V cord plugged into the TT batteries. Worked fine I am happy to report.

Later, I was sitting in our trailer watching TV and feeling very proud of my foresight in ordering that 12V cord when the power came back on (about 8:30pm). So I didn't get to really use the 12V option but I still am glad I have it as a backup.

I dread the first power outage I have to go through. We haven't lost power at night since my xPAP... yet. I also don't like the thought of not having it. I'd probably stay awake. May have my dad help me get batery equip. later on.

My neighbors will hate me, I bought a 6500 watt generator. Bring on the hurricanes and Noreaster's.
I bought a 55 gallon barrel to run the exhaust into. A good friend told me that it will make the noise almost bearable.
I just want to go back to sleep!
