Hey cflame1 another Iowan here! Back to the question, my mouth gets somewhat dry with the humidifier and a FF mask. But not anywhere near what it was before I got on the CPAP. There was no way that I could spit in the morning ,way too dry!!!

Ha! Ha! I know the Cornhusker are bad. I am not a football fan. I just was wondering about the water use in the Humidifier. I hope Ball State football team beat them too.

It all depends on the relative humidity, the indoor temps and humidity, how much you run your furnace in the winter and where you set your humidifier on your PAP machine.
The drier the air coming into the PAP machine, the more humidity it should pick up. Conversely, if the air is already humid, it won't pick up as much unless you crank up the humidifier. For some people, the warmer and more humid the air, the more it plugs up your sinuses and hinders breathing.

In other words.....it's a balancing act that you'll just have to see what works best for you.

Stay warm, my fellow hosehead.....winter is approaching.
