I have severe sleep apnea but I'm not tired, anyone else?
The effects of sleep deprivation on the mind and body are cumulative as well as residual. There is also a legal/financial benefit.
Cumulative--because it can take years for the lack of quality sleep to take its toll. Everyone is different. Some can tolerate apneas so well that they'll never suffer the full range of adverse physical and mental effects. It took me 20 years of poor sleep to feel bad enough to get a sleep study. After only one night with CPAP I felt so refreshed it was like I had a religious experience, but it was really a full-body-WHEW thanks to my first decent night's sleep in 20 years.
Residual--because if it can take months of xPAP therapy before feeling better if you were as sleep-deprived as I was.
Legal/financial benefit--comes from saving you from bankruptcy caused by divorce and subsequent attorneys fees, alimony, housing, et cetera brought on by a spouse who is unable to sleep because you sound like you're dying a hundred times a night.
Good luck with your outcome!

Yes, when I filled out my questionaire, I did not check "daytime sleepiness" because, having had it all my life, I didn't know that this wasn't normal. Luckily mine was moderate, so I functioned reasonably well considering. I held a job ok, but crashed the rest of the time. I could never watch tv in the evening without falling asleep very quickly, etc. But this was just how I'd always been.
I have relatives who always ribbed me because I wouldn't stay awake if we rented a DVD. Recently we did that and I stayed awake just fine. But if you had asked me if I felt daytime sleepiness, I would have said no.
However, my brain always pooped out really bad by midafternoon. I mean, it was gone.

You are probablely not noticing your tiredness because your body is so used to it that it feels normal. That is how I felt before cpap therapy. After my titration study the next morning I couldn'd believe how well I felt & still do. Use your cpap consistently & you will notice the difference. There is no excuse for not using your cpap, especially since untreated OSA can wreck havoc on your body.
I believe that I have had sleeping issues for proberly 15 years (I am 37).
15 years ago I was pretty fit and in th 70-80 kg Bracket I started experiencing 2 pm sinus type headaches. I had several painful nose type surgeries but still the headaches persisted until a Dr put me on medication for Hypertension. I have always survived on as little as 5 hr sleep per night and although feeling very fatigued for the past 10 years (I thought that I had had a bad reaction to having anaesthesia) I pushed through and kept up a very high work load . Just over 2 years ago I finally achieved a career goal , and the results for my health were deverstating. It must have been the body saying ahhh we have made it ,we can settle down a bit now, but that was when the full effects of the OSA started to hit . Memory shut down, the constant Haze"" hypertention Headaches getting worse"" , no consentaration and the depression of my world falling apart. Anyway 2+2 as they say and I self diagnosed and told my GP that I wanted to see a sleep speciallist. I have been on the hose for a few months now and personnelly feel 100 % better, knowing that I still have a long way to go.
This condition seems to hit many people many different ways ,Maybe you are one of the lucky ones that won't get to feel the full effect due to your early use of availiable equipment.
